Welcome

Your school is a partner with Virginia Advanced Study Strategies (VASS) in an Investing in Innovation (i3) research and development project entitled Rural Math Excel Partnership. It is funded by the US Department of Education with matching monies from the Virginia Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission.

The RMEP project is based on the following facts. (1) Regardless of where a high school graduate chooses to live, he/she must be able to pursue higher skilled, higher paying jobs in occupations that may or may not require a four-year college degree but still require more science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) skills and some education or training after high school. (2) Schools and teachers need the active engagement of families and community organizations to help students understand the importance and relevance of math and to motivate them to put forth the effort necessary to succeed.

Please help us learn how to best improve math education for students in rural areas and to provide further funding for projects like RMEP in the future by clicking on the appropriate survey link below. This survey should take about 10 minutes of your time.
